at the end of the day, images from the phone’s rear camera are curated according to aesthetic criteria and clustered into semantic categories. all together, these images resemble fragments of childhood memories. the result challenges intentionality and authorship.

the work is a technologically minimal implementation of automatic content generation. it shows the beginning of vicarious creativity in artificial systems. like all artificial systems created to express creativity, however, it ends up saying more about its creator than about the actual processes behind true creativity.
